Platform and API Options
1. Platform: BUSINESS
The Location Risk Intelligence Platform “Business” includes the following functionalities:
Single location assessment | Scoring of hazards and risks for individual locations. The location can be searched by coordinates or by address. The function includes risk scores to identify red flags and hazard zones to dive into the details. |
Location geocoding | Geocoding transforms the description of a location, such as an address, to latitude and longitude coordinates on the earth’s surface, which can then be used for location assessment analysis. |
Map services | Map services are available for edition-specific hazard datasets and can be selected and visualised in the platform. |
Portfolio assessment | Portfolio assessment allows you to score a set of locations at once and store them as a specified portfolio. The distribution of the portfolio across different hazard and risk scores can be visualised in 4 different types (Cluster, Grid, Heatmap and Regions). The function also allows the downloading of reports from the portfolio assessment in different formats such as PDF, Excel and CSV. |
Save locations | This function gives you the option to save the assessment results of a single location in the platform. |
Elevation profiles | This function gives you the option to create an elevation profile between any two locations on the map. The service also provides the elevation profile (height above sea level) in an interactive graph for the entire distance. |
Portfolio filtering | Portfolio filtering allows you to filter a portfolio according to different attributes such as risk scores, either by country or according to the level of geocoding quality. If uploaded data contains additional attributes from the client, these can be used for filtering as well. Corresponding diagrams are shown for each peril on selected filters. You can download the results of the filtered analysis as a PDF, Excel or CSV file. |
2. Platform: CORPORATE
The Location Risk Intelligence Platform “Corporate” additionally includes the following functionalities:
Traffic light functionality | This function allows you to map all hazard scores to a normalised scale, visualised using traffic light colours (green to red) that are easy to interpret. The function classifies the hazard exposure into five categories: no or very low exposure, low exposure, medium exposure, high exposure and very high exposure. The traffic light functionality is only available for single location assessment. |
Areas and lines scoring | Areas and lines scoring expands the scoring capabilities from points to lines and areas e.g.: for railway lines, oil and gas pipelines, roads, airports, industrial plants and ecological areas. The function also allows you to upload geometries or self-drawing geometries directly to the platform. Areas and lines scoring capabilities show the percentage of an area that is exposed to natural hazards. |
3. Platform: ENTERPRISE
The Platform “Enterprise” includes the functionalities of the Platform “Corporate” as well as the following additional functionalities:
Rest API | The REST API conforms to the design principles of the REST or representational state transfer architectural style. By using this stateless protocol, clients can integrate almost all assessment tools and data sets from Location Risk Intelligence into their own application environment. |
4. API
The Rest API comprises the following functionalities:
Single location assessment | The function allows you to score hazards and risks for individual locations. The location can be searched by coordinates or by address. The assessment also shows risk scores to identify red flags and hazard zones to dive into the details. The API returns result from the specified services for the requested location. |
The API returns result from the specified services for the requested portfolio for up to a maximum of 1000 locations per request. |
Areas and lines scoring | Expands the scoring capabilities from points to lines and areas e.g.: for railway lines, oil and gas pipelines, roads, airports, industrial plants and ecological areas. The API returns result from the specified services for the requested geometry (Area/Polygon and Line). Areas and lines scoring capabilities show the percentage of an area that is exposed to natural hazards. |
5. User Self Service Management System
The User Self Service Management System comprises the following functionalities:
User management | The customer is responsible for the administration of its users of the online service. MR provides a portal for administration purposes. A prerequisite for the use of the portal is the initial sending of the email address of at least one user who can act as an administrator. The customer can then independently create, change and delete further users online at any time. The customer himself is responsible for compliance with data protection regulations with regard to employees of the customer who are created as users. This obligation also applies in particular to the information obligations resulting from the processing of employees’ personal data. |
6. Single-Sign-On Function
The Single-Sign-On function comprises the following functionalities:
Single-Sign-On-Function | The Single-Sign-On (SSO) function means: When the customer logs on to his company's system and uses his own corporate identity system, the user automatically logs on to MR Service GmbH's online service in the background, or more detailed, accesses Microsoft's Azure cloud service as the service provider for MR Service GmbH's online service. The setup of the SSO requires the cooperation of the customer and is divided into a setup phase and a usage phase. The set-up phase takes place in the following stages: collection of the client's requirements, scheduling, specification of the client's access system, technical set-up of access at the client's and MR Service GmbH's premises, exchange of metadata, test phase and final activation for use of the SSO. |
